About Willoughby Veterinary Hospital

Established by Dr Peter MacKenzie-Wood in 1997, the hospital has become part of the fabric of the local community. Our customers know by experience that they can rely on us for sound advice, and that their pet is receiving the very best of care.

We believe our key strengths are our commitment to the pursuit of the latest veterinary knowledge, having the framework and flexibility to implement advances, and having a core passion for animals. We never forget that sometimes even with all the latest data and devices, it is that little extra TLC that can make all the difference.

Our focus is on preventative care, encouraging and facilitating continuous education for every staff member, teamwork and building long lasting relationships with our clients and their pets. Our hospital is well equipped; including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound and in-house laboratory equipment. These assist in reaching a diagnosis rapidly to ensure the best outcome for your pet. We also offer preventative health initiatives and empower our clients through education to ensure your pet lives a happy and healthy life throughout its stages.

    This is without doubt one of the best vets in Sydney. Peter McKenzie-Wood is an incredibly experienced and committed vet. We always have total confidence that we are getting the right advice, especially when it means hard decisions. We travel from the other side of Sydney just to go to Willoughby for the peace of mind that our dogs are having the best possible care.
